1. The Service

Semptify provides tools for document organization, timeline management, letter generation, and secure document delivery between housing stakeholders. The service connects to your personal cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive) to store your documents. We do not host your files on our servers permanently.

3. Eligibility

Semptify is open to all users. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian may assist you in using Semptify. By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to understand these terms.

4. Session and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your cloud storage credentials and device
You may select a role (tenant, advocate, legal professional, admin) to personalize your experience
Misrepresentation of your role may result in session termination
You agree to disconnect your storage immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Semptify to:

Upload or transmit illegal, fraudulent, or defamatory content
Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
Attempt to access another user's vault or documents without authorization
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Misrepresent your identity or forge signatures
Circumvent any security or access controls

6. Document Storage

Semptify stores documents in your personal cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive). We do not facilitate document exchange between users. Documents remain under your control at all times. If you choose to share documents externally:

Use external services (email, messaging, file sharing) outside Semptify
Ensure you have the right to share the document
Understand that Semptify does not track or monitor external sharing

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. Semptify claims no ownership over your content. The Semptify platform, code, trademarks, and design are the property of Semptify and its contributors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the platform without permission.

8. Termination

You may disconnect your cloud storage and stop using Semptify at any time. We may suspend access for users who violate these terms or pose security risks. Upon disconnection, your cloud storage folder remains under your control — we never delete your documents.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Semptify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of generated letters, calculators, or library content. You use the service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Semptify and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes damages from lost documents, missed deadlines, or legal outcomes.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the platform and via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
