Semptify
Hello, world. Welcome to Semptify.
Tenant rights, documented. Our motto: document everything.
Semptify is under construction — built in public, at no cost, always. Here is where things stand.
What Semptify is becoming
A tenant rights advocate organization — a public utility, not a product. We help renters document what is happening, understand their rights in plain language, and take the next right step. Your documents stay in your own storage. Nonprofit filing is in progress, and the code is open source on GitHub.
Where the build stands
We are under construction. Some tools work today; more are on the way. Expect good things — and honest notes where we're not there yet.
- Document everything — the idea the whole platform runs on
- Know your rights library — plain-language facts, sources shown
- The portal — tools and services as they come online
In the works: a housing bill proposal
We are working to put together a proposal for a bill for the housing industry, centered on clear, fair documentation standards. It is early. Nothing is filed. What follows is our early read — opinion, labeled as opinion, not settled fact — on how it might affect different people:
- For renters: a common documentation standard could make it simpler to keep a clear, dated record of a tenancy — and simpler to show the facts when something goes wrong.
- For housing providers: clear standards could reduce disputes, make expectations predictable, and make it easier for good operators to show they are good operators.
- For lawmakers: better records across the industry could give policymakers real data about what is actually happening in housing, instead of competing anecdotes.
We will publish the draft and invite comment from every side as the work matures.
Our standing commitments
- No cost, always. We never charge for anything.
- No advertising and no paid endorsements, ever.
- We never track you. No analytics, no cookies that follow you, no email capture.
- Transparency instead of accounts: because we take no names, requests sent to us are posted publicly along with our responses.
Funding the work
Semptify survives on donations and, we hope, grants. We are currently looking for funding resources — the next milestone is our 501(c)(3) filing fee.
Outside views
We invite outside reviews of what we're building — agree or disagree. As independent write-ups are published, we will link them here. So far: Vibe Coded Projects lists Semptify as "a nonprofit tenant-rights platform" (listed 1 October 2026).
